Road roller operating procedures
1)When the operation, the road roller should start first before it can vibrate. And the internal combustion engine should be transferred to the medium speed, and then modulate the high speed.

2)Stop the machine first when changing speed and reversing. Reduce the speed of internal combustion engine when changing speed.

3)It is forbidden for the road roller to vibrate on a solid ground.

4)When rolling soft roadbed, it shall be rolled for 1 ~ 2 times without vibration first and then vibrated.

5)During rolling, the vibration frequency shall be consistent. For the adjustable vibratory road roller, the vibration frequency shall be adjusted before operation, and the vibration rate shall not be adjusted without vibration.

6)The adjustment of reversing clutch, shock clutch and brake shall be carried out after the main clutch is disengaged.

7)Do not use the fast gear when going up or down the slope and during sharp turns, including the rolling of articulated vibratory road roller in small turns.

8)The road roller shall not engage vibration when driving at high speed.

9)When stopping the engine, first stop the vibration, then put the reversing mechanism in the middle position, put the transmission in neutral, finally pull up the hand brake lever, and shut down the internal combustion engine after idling for several minutes.

10)Other operation requirements shall comply with the provisions of static pressure road roller.

Rolling skills

1)Whether it is uphill or downhill, the bottom layer of the asphalt mixture must be clean and dry, and the asphalt binding layer must be sprayed to avoid the slip of the mixture during rolling.

2)Whether rolling uphill or downhill, the driving wheel of the road roller shall be behind. It has the following advantages: when going uphill, the rear driving wheel can bear the driving force provided by the ramp and the machine itself, and the front wheel preliminarily compacts the road surface to bear the large shear force generated by the driving wheel; When going downhill, the impact force generated by the self weight of the road roller is offset by the braking of the driving wheel. Only the mixture rolled by the front wheel has the ability to support the rear driving wheel to generate shear force.

3)When rolling uphill, the road roller shall start, stop and accelerate smoothly to avoid too fast or too slow speed.

4)Before rolling uphill, the mixture shall be cooled to the specified low temperature, and then static preloading shall be carried out. Vibration compaction shall not be adopted until the temperature of the mixture drops to the lower limit (120 ° C).

5)Sudden speed change and braking shall be avoided when rolling downhill.

6)When rolling downhill with very steep gradient, light road roller shall be used for pre compaction first, and then heavy road roller or vibratory road roller shall be used for compaction.
